General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28306) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PECAM1, targeting the amino acid region 199–287 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1), is a 130 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily that plays a central role in vascular cell adhesion and signaling. Expressed primarily on endothelial cells, platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and subsets of T cells and B cells, it concentrates at intercellular junctions of the endothelium where it mediates homophilic and heterophilic interactions essential for leukocyte transmigration, angiogenesis, and maintenance of vascular barrier integrity. Discovered in the mid-1980s and molecularly cloned in 1990, CD31 has since been recognized as a multifunctional regulator of inflammation, immune responses, and hemostasis.
DPABH-28306 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:200), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-28306 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS, 50% glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300, 0.05% BSA. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
