Animals were immunized with bovine thymocytes. Spleen cells were fused with NS1 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for the bovine CD2 T cell antigen. This antibody was included in the panel of the International Workshop on Bovine, Sheep and Goat Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens in 1989 and 1992.
