Q: What's epitope does this antibody recognize specifically?
A: This ab was raised again the recombinant gp120 (MN strain). The PND (principal neutralizing domain) is highly conserved between most HIV-1 strains and therefor this antibody should recognize most if not all HIV-1 strains. It definitely recognizes the MN strain. The sequence that the antibody is specific for: *KRIHI GPGR AFYT This is the PND of the MN strain but the antibody will recognize the PND sequence of many other strains.
