Introduction
RSV Type B is formulated with purified, intact virus particles that have been chemically modified to render them non-infectious and refrigerator stable. Each vial contains 1.0 mL of RSV Type B. RSV Type B is supplied in a purified protein matrix that mimics the composition of a true clinical specimen.
Antigen Description
Respiratory Syncytial Virus Type B (RSV-B, Strain CH93 (18)-18) is negative-sense, single-stranded linear RNA. This virus is purified from vero cells using sucrose density gradient ultracentrifugation, disrupted in the presence of 0.5% Triton X-100 non-ionic detergent/0.6 M KCl, and heat inactivated.
