General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT853) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human BUB3. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. BUB3 is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10q26.13 in humans that encodes the mitotic checkpoint protein BUB3, a key regulator of the spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC) essential for ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. The gene, also known by aliases such as BUB3L and hBUB3, produces a 328-amino-acid protein with a molecular mass of approximately 37 kDa, featuring four WD repeat domains that facilitate protein-protein interactions. BUB3 exhibits ubiquitous expression across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the lymph node and appendix, and is highly conserved across eukaryotes, sharing sequence similarity with its yeast homologs.
