General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21549) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RET, targeting the amino acid region 29–635 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human RET from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. RET (proto-oncogene c-Ret) encodes a receptor tyrosine kinase that is essential for cell growth, differentiation, and survival signaling. RET is activated by binding to members of the glial cell line–derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) ligand family in conjunction with co-receptors of the GFRα family, leading to autophosphorylation of intracellular tyrosine residues and activation of downstream signaling pathways such as RAS/MAPK, PI3K/AKT, and PLCγ. RET plays a critical role in the development of the nervous system, kidneys, and enteric ganglia. Gain-of-function mutations and gene rearrangements involving RET are strongly associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 and certain thyroid and lung cancers, while loss-of-function mutations can cause Hirschsprung disease. Due to its oncogenic potential, RET is an important therapeutic target in precision oncology.
DPABH-21549 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-21549 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
