General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00384) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HDAC2, targeting the amino acid region 274–571 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HDAC2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Histone deacetylases(HDAC) are a class of enzymes that remove the acetyl groups from the lysine residues leading to the formation of a condensed and transcriptionally silenced chromatin.Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes, and are responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues at the N-terminal regions of core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). At least 4 classes of HDAC were identified. As a class I HDAC, HDAC2 was primarily found in the nucleus. HDAC2 forms transcriptional repressor complexes by associating with many different proteins, including YY1, a mammalian zinc-finger transcription factor. Thus, it plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events.
DPABH-00384 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:5,000–1:50,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:2,000–1:8,000), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800), flow cytometry (FC) (0.25 μg per 10^6 cells in a 100 μl suspension) applications.
DPABH-00384 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
