General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL366) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ATP1A2, targeting the amino acid region 347–700 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ATP1A2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ATP1A2 is a gene that encodes the alpha-2 subunit of the Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase, a transmembrane enzyme critical for maintaining sodium and potassium ion gradients across cell membranes by hydrolyzing ATP to actively transport three sodium ions out of the cell and two potassium ions into the cell. This subunit is predominantly expressed in neural tissues, particularly in astrocytes and other glial cells of the central nervous system, where it supports neuronal excitability, neurotransmitter clearance, and overall brain homeostasis.
CABT-BL366 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
CABT-BL366 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
