General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPATB-H82728) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human ST6GAL1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ST6GAL1 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes a member of glycosyltransferase family 29. The encoded protein is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The protein, which is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form, is involved in the generation of the cell-surface carbohydrate determinants and differentiation antigens HB-6, CD75, and CD76. This gene has been incorrectly referred to as CD75. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
DPATB-H82728 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:50–1:100) applications.
DPATB-H82728 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
