General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBXY26001) is a human-derived monoclonal antibody raised against hiv-1 HIV-1 p24. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HIV p24 is a major structural capsid protein of Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) encoded by the viral gag gene. The p24 protein forms the conical core of the virus particle that surrounds and protects the viral RNA genome and associated enzymes. It is highly conserved and abundantly produced during viral replication, making it one of the earliest detectable viral markers in infected individuals. HIV p24 antigen can be detected in blood shortly after infection, often before antibodies are produced, and therefore plays a crucial role in early diagnostic assays, such as fourth-generation HIV tests, which simultaneously detect both p24 antigen and anti-HIV antibodies. Because of its strong immunogenicity and structural importance, p24 is also widely used as a target in research on HIV pathogenesis, vaccine development, and antiviral drug evaluation.

DMAB-CBXY26001 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS-Tris. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
