General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22142) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SCAP. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SCAP from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a protein with a sterol sensing domain (SSD) and seven WD domains. In the presence of cholesterol, this protein binds to sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) and mediates their transport from the ER to the Golgi. The SREBPs are then proteolytically cleaved and regulate sterol biosynthesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
DPABH-22142 is suitable for use in IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500), WB 1 (500-1:2000) applications.
DPABH-22142 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
