This product (Catalog No. DPABH-17105) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human PLIN1, targeting the amino acid region 331–430 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PLIN1 from mouse, rat, pig, cow, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene coats lipid storage droplets in adipocytes, thereby protecting them until they can be broken down by hormone-sensitive lipase. The encoded protein is the major cAMP-dependent protein kinase substrate in adipocytes and, when unphosphorylated, may play a role in the inhibition of lipolysis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants varying in the 5' UTR, but encoding the same protein, have been found for this gene.
DPABH-17105 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), flow cytometry (FC) (5 μg/test) applications.
DPABH-17105 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
