This product (Catalog No. DPABH-06501) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ITGAV, targeting the amino acid region 560–744 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ITGAV from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Integrin alpha V is a transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the ITGAV gene located on chromosome 2q32.1 in humans, functioning as the alpha subunit of the integrin family of cell adhesion receptors. These integrins form heterodimers with beta subunits, including beta-1, beta-3, beta-5, beta-6, and beta-8, to create complexes such as the vitronectin receptor (alphaVbeta3) that bind extracellular matrix ligands via the RGD motif, such as vitronectin, fibronectin, fibrinogen, osteopontin, and thrombospondin. Through these interactions, integrin alpha V plays essential roles in cellular processes including adhesion, migration, cytoskeletal organization, proliferation, survival, differentiation, and signaling pathways like TGF-beta activation and angiogenesis.
DPABH-06501 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-06501 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
