General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18165) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FTH1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with FTH1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. FTH1 (ferritin heavy chain 1), located on chromosome 11q12.3, is a gene that encodes the heavy subunit of ferritin, the primary intracellular protein responsible for storing iron in a soluble, non-toxic form across prokaryotes and eukaryotes. This subunit plays a crucial role in iron homeostasis by facilitating the oxidation of ferrous iron (Fe²⁺) to ferric iron (Fe³⁺) through its ferroxidase activity, enabling safe sequestration within the ferritin mineral core and preventing oxidative damage from free iron.
DPABH-18165 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC 1 (50-1:200), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-18165 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
