General Description
Ferritin is a water-soluble, iron storage protein. Serum Ferritin level is said to be useful for diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia, metabolism disorder and malignant tumor. Ferritin may also be an acute- phase protein and is often elevated in the course of disease.
