The antibody reacts with periostin, a secreted protein. The levels of serum periostin may be an indicator of tumor invasion and progression in patients with thymoma and nonsmall cell lung carcinomas (NSCLC).Animals were immunized with Fc-TCG1, which is similar to periostsin. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells.
