Animals were immunized with EL4 cells. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with mouse CD28 receptors. The antibody is specific for a 90 kDa protein homodimer. It reacts with all mature T cells and can both activate and inhibit T cell function. Note: This cell line is viable and does secrete antibody at low levels.

Incubate cells at 37°C with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere, renew medium every 2-3 days, start cells at 1x10^5 cells/mL, maintain cultures between 1x10^5-1x10^6 and maximal density at 1x10^6 cells/ml.
