Animals were immunized with the multidrug resistant, small cell lung carcinoma. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with MRP (multidrug resistance protein). MRP is a 190, 000 integral membrane phosphoglycoprotein that is overexpressed in some drug-selected resistant cell lines and has been shown to cause multidrug resistance in transfected cells.
