General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1605W) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against mouse Mouse Kir5.1, targeting the amino acid region 294–343 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Mouse Kir5.1 from human and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 16 (KCNJ16) is a human gene encoding the Kir5.1 protein. Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. Kir5.1 is an integral membrane protein and inward-rectifier type potassium channel. Kir5.1, which has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell, can form heterodimers with two other inward-rectifier type potassium channels. It may be involved in the regulation of fluid and pH balance. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. CABT-L1605W is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC-P 1 (50-1:200), FC 1 (50-1:100) applications. CABT-L1605W is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
