General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT793) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human FGFR4. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Fibroblast growth factor receptor 4 (FGFR4) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family of tyrosine kinase receptors, encoded by the FGFR4 gene on human chromosome 5q35.1, and plays a critical role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival by binding fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) such as FGF1, FGF2, FGF4, FGF8, FGF19, and FGF23, primarily through its extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains. Upon ligand binding, FGFR4 undergoes dimerization and autophosphorylation, activating downstream signaling pathways including the MAPK/ERK, PI3K/AKT, and PLCγ cascades, which regulate processes like embryonic development, tissue repair, and metabolism. Unlike other FGFRs, FGFR4 exhibits a more restricted expression pattern, predominantly in tissues such as liver, kidney, lung, and skeletal muscle, and shows low expression in the central nervous system.
DMAB-CPT793 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (0.625-20 ng/mL) application.
DMAB-CPT793 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS only. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
