General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5619) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SF3B1, targeting the amino acid region 1–126 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SF3B1, also named as SAP155, is a 1304 amino acid protein, which belongs to the SF3B1 family. SF3B1 is a subunit of the splicing factor SF3B required for 'A' complex assembly formed by the stable binding of U2 snRNP to the branchpoint sequence (BPS) in pre-mRNA. Sequence independent binding of SF3A/SF3B complex upstream of the branch site is essential, it may anchor U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA. SF3B1 may also be involved in the assembly of the 'E' complex. SF3B1 belongs also to the minor U12-dependent spliceosome, which is involved in the splicing of rare class of nuclear pre-mRNA intron.
CABT-BL5619 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IHC (1:500–1:2,000) applications.
CABT-BL5619 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
