Cytomegalovirus strain AD-169 is grown in MRC-5 cells and harvested under conditions that ensure full viral protein expression. Infected cells are collected in glycine-buffered saline, disrupted to release CMV antigens, clarified by centrifugation, and inactivated by gamma irradiation.

A: Buffer used for dilution/suspension: NTE buffer (NaCl, Tris, EDTA) + sucrose. Suitability: Intended for immuno-detection of antigens; may not suitable for cell culture or infection assays.
