Product Overview
A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Glu 530) of the influenza hemagglutinin (A/Common magpie/Hong Kong/2256/2006 (H5N1)) (ABJ96777.1) (HA1+HA2, uncleaved, with the cleavage site mutated (RRRKR-TETR)) was expressed, fused with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
Molecular Weight
The secreted recombinant influenza A H5N1 (A/Common magpie/Hong Kong/2256/2006 (H5N1)) HA comprises 524 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 59.6 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, it migrates as an approximately 70-80 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Endotoxin
< 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method
Purity
> 97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
Format
Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.41. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70°CStore it under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
