General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01811) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human eIF4A3, targeting the amino acid region 40–411 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. EIF4A3 is the official symbol for the human gene encoding eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A3, an ATP-dependent RNA helicase belonging to the DEAD-box protein family and located on the long arm of chromosome 17 at position 17q25.3. This protein functions as a core component of the exon junction complex (EJC), a multiprotein assembly deposited on mRNAs during pre-mRNA splicing approximately 20-24 nucleotides upstream of exon-exon junctions, where it regulates post-transcriptional processes including mRNA nuclear export, cytoplasmic localization, translational efficiency, and nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) to eliminate transcripts with premature termination codons.
DPABH-01811 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-01811 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
