This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05351) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human TYMS. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with TYMS from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. Thymidylate synthase (EC 2.1.1.45), also known as TYMS, is a homodimeric enzyme that catalyzes the reductive methylation of 2'-deoxyuridine-5'-monophosphate (dUMP) to 2'-deoxythymidine-5'-monophosphate (dTMP), the sole de novo source of thymine nucleotides essential for DNA biosynthesis. This reaction utilizes (6R)-N⁵,N¹⁰-methylenetetrahydrofolate as both the one-carbon donor and hydride source, converting it to dihydrofolate as a byproduct, and is conserved across nearly all organisms.
DPABH-05351 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:200), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-05351 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
