This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21408) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human SRC. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene is highly similar to the v-src gene of Rous sarcoma virus. This proto-oncogene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. The protein encoded by this gene is a tyrosine-protein kinase whose activity can be inhibited by phosphorylation by c-SRC kinase. Mutations in this gene could be involved in the malignant progression of colon cancer. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. DPABH-21408 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:15–1:50) applications. DPABH-21408 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
