This product (Catalog No. DPABH-16118) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SRC, targeting the amino acid region 187–536 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SRC from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src (SRC) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase and the prototypical member of the Src family kinases (SFKs), playing a central role in intracellular signal transduction. Encoded by the SRC gene, Src integrates signals from growth factor receptors, integrins, and cytokine receptors to regulate cell proliferation, survival, adhesion, migration, and cytoskeletal dynamics. Its activity is tightly controlled by phosphorylation at regulatory tyrosine residues, which modulate its conformational state between inactive and active forms. Dysregulated Src activation—through overexpression or aberrant upstream signaling—contributes to oncogenesis by promoting tumor growth, invasion, angiogenesis, and metastasis. Consequently, Src has been extensively studied as both a key mediator of cancer progression and a potential therapeutic target in oncology.
DPABH-16118 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-16118 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
