General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26136) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SNAI1, targeting the amino acid region 1–264 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SNAI1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SNAI1, a member of SNAI1 family of protein, participates in the epithelial to mesenchymal transition(EMT) and formation and maintenance of embryonic mesoderm. The snail family share a common structural, that a highly conserved C-terminal region containing a zinc finger transcription factor. SNAI1 interacts with other corepressor, such as Ajuba, PRMT5 and SIN3a or HDAC1 and 2, to repress the target gene. As the phosphorylation modification of SNAI1 protein, the range of molecular weight of SNAI1 is about 25-30 kDa (PMID: 22276203). Once phosphorylated (probably on Ser-107, Ser-111, Ser-115 and Ser-119) it is exported from the nucleus to the cytoplasm where subsequent phosphorylation of the destruction motif and ubiquitination involving BTRC occurs.
DPABH-26136 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-26136 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
