General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26452) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SMYD2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SMYD2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SMYD2 (SET and MYND domain-containing protein 2) is a protein lysine methyltransferase that acts as an epigenetic regulator, playing a crucial role in cancer progression, cardiovascular development, and vascular aging by catalyzing the methylation of histone H3 (K4, K36) and non-histone proteins like p53, RB1, and HSP90. Its overexpression in various cancers makes it a potential,,therapeutic target.
DPABH-26452 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:10–1:100) applications.
DPABH-26452 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
