General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11972) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human RANBP2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with RANBP2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. RANBP2, also known as RAN binding protein 2 or nucleoporin 358 (NUP358), is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2q13 that encodes a large scaffold protein essential for nucleocytoplasmic transport and post-translational modification processes. The protein product of RANBP2 is a mosaic cyclophilin-related nucleoporin with a molecular weight of approximately 358 kDa, consisting of 3,224 amino acids and featuring multiple functional domains, including an N-terminal leucine-rich domain (LRD), four RAN-binding domains (RanBD1–4), eight zinc finger motifs, and a C-terminal cyclophilin-like peptidyl-prolyl isomerase (PPIase) domain. It localizes primarily to the cytoplasmic filaments of the nuclear pore complex (NPC), where it serves as the largest nucleoporin and a key structural component, facilitating the bidirectional transport of proteins and RNAs between the nucleus and cytoplasm.
DPABH-11972 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:2,000–1:5,000), IHC (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-11972 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
