General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19757) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PSMA7, targeting the amino acid region 15–248 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PSMA7 is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes the proteasome subunit alpha type-7 (PSMA7), also known as the 20S proteasome subunit alpha-4, which serves as a core alpha subunit of the 20S proteasome complex responsible for the ATP- and ubiquitin-independent degradation of intracellular proteins. This subunit is integral to the proteolytic activity of the proteasome, a multi-subunit barrel-shaped protease that maintains cellular homeostasis by targeting damaged, misfolded, or regulatory proteins for degradation, thereby playing crucial roles in processes such as cell cycle progression, signal transduction, and antigen processing. Located on chromosome 20q13.33, the PSMA7 gene spans approximately 6.7 kb and consists of seven exons, with its expression observed in various tissues including nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments. Notably, PSMA7 interacts with the hepatitis B virus X protein, potentially influencing viral replication and pathogenesis in infected cells, and has been implicated in diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and certain cancers where its amplification correlates with altered gene expression and tumor progression.
DPABH-19757 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-19757 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
