General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05705) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human NSF, targeting the amino acid region 590–744 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human NSF from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein (NSF) is an ATPase belonging to the AAA (ATPases Associated with diverse cellular Activities) family that plays a central role in membrane trafficking. NSF mediates the disassembly of SNARE complexes following vesicle fusion, thereby recycling SNARE proteins for subsequent rounds of intracellular transport. It binds to SNARE complexes via adaptor proteins known as SNAPs (soluble NSF attachment proteins), and through ATP binding and hydrolysis, catalyzes conformational changes that separate the tightly assembled SNARE bundle. NSF is essential for diverse vesicular transport processes, including synaptic vesicle exocytosis, endoplasmic reticulum–Golgi trafficking, and endosomal transport. Given its fundamental role in maintaining membrane fusion cycles, NSF is critical for neurotransmission, secretion, and overall cellular homeostasis.
DPABH-05705 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-05705 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
