General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04286) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human NRAS, targeting the amino acid region 1–189 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. NRAS (transforming protein N-Ras) encodes a small GTPase belonging to the Ras family of signal transduction proteins that function as molecular switches in regulating cell growth and survival. N-Ras cycles between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state, transmitting signals from activated cell surface receptors to downstream pathways such as the MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT cascades. Through these pathways, N-Ras influences cellular proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Somatic mutations in NRAS that impair GTP hydrolysis can lead to constitutive pathway activation and are frequently observed in hematologic malignancies, melanoma, and other cancers, making N-Ras an important oncogenic driver and therapeutic research target.
DPABH-04286 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-04286 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
