This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19074) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human Histone H4. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Histone H4 from mouse, rat, and monkey. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H4 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element.
DPABH-19074 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:100–1:300), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:200–1:1,000), ELISA (1:5000) applications.
DPABH-19074 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
