General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19662) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human HNF1A, targeting the amino acid region 141–240 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with HNF1A from mouse, rat, pig, and horse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor required for the expression of several liver-specific genes. The encoded protein functions as a homodimer and binds to the inverted palindrome 5'-GTTAATNATTAAC-3'. Defects in this gene are a cause of maturity onset diabetes of the young type 3 (MODY3) and also can result in the appearance of hepatic adenomas. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. DPABH-19662 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. DPABH-19662 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
