General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03677) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DCN, targeting the amino acid region 31–359 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DCN from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Decorin is a small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) and a prototype member of class I SLRPs, consisting of a ~40 kDa core protein with 12 leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) forming a curved solenoid structure, attached to a single glycosaminoglycan (GAG) chain of either dermatan sulfate or chondroitin sulfate near the N-terminus. This composite molecule, approximately 100 kDa in size, is synthesized by fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and smooth muscle cells, and is ubiquitously expressed in the extracellular matrix (ECM) of connective tissues, including skin, tendons, cartilage, and the corneal stroma.
DPABH-03677 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03677 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
