General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22577) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CHRM3, targeting the amino acid region 253–491 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M3 (M3 mAChR) is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) subtype within the family of five muscarinic acetylcholine receptors that mediate the effects of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the parasympathetic nervous system and beyond. It couples primarily to Gq/11 proteins, activating phospholipase C to generate inositol trisphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG), which mobilize intracellular calcium and trigger excitatory responses such as smooth muscle contraction and glandular secretion. Expressed widely in tissues including the gastrointestinal tract, bladder, airways, pancreas, and central nervous system, the M3 receptor plays essential roles in regulating gastrointestinal motility, micturition, bronchoconstriction, insulin secretion, and cognitive functions. Its activation by acetylcholine promotes parasympathetic effects, while dysregulation is implicated in conditions like overactive bladder, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers, making it a key therapeutic target.
DPABH-22577 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-22577 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
