This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05092) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human CCR2, targeting the amino acid region 180–206 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with CCR2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, a chemokine which specifically mediates monocyte chemotaxis. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is involved in monocyte infiltration in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis as well as in the inflammatory response against tumors. The encoded protein mediates agonist-dependent calcium mobilization and inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. This protein can also be a coreceptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. This gene is located in the chemokine receptor gene cluster region of chromosome 3. DPABH-05092 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. DPABH-05092 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
