General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-08861) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ATP6V1B1, targeting the amino acid region 111–513 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ATP6V1B1 is a human gene that encodes the kidney isoform of the B subunit (V1B1) in the vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase), a multisubunit enzyme complex responsible for proton translocation and acidification of intracellular organelles and extracellular spaces in eukaryotic cells. This protein is particularly critical in renal alpha-intercalated cells of the distal nephron, where it drives the secretion of protons (H+) into the urine to maintain systemic acid-base balance. Mutations in ATP6V1B1 lead to autosomal recessive distal renal tubular acidosis (dRTA), characterized by impaired bicarbonate reabsorption and acidosis, often accompanied by progressive sensorineural hearing loss due to defective proton pumping in the inner ear.
DPABH-08861 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-08861 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
