General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-15697) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ATP2A2, targeting the amino acid region 315–756 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ATP2A2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The ATP2A2 gene encodes the sarco/endoplasmic reticulum calcium-ATPase 2 (SERCA2), a magnesium-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP to transport calcium ions from the cytosol into the lumen of the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) or endoplasmic reticulum (ER), thereby regulating intracellular calcium levels essential for cellular signaling, muscle contraction, and relaxation. Located on chromosome 12q24.11, the gene spans approximately 70 kb with 21 exons and produces multiple isoforms through alternative splicing, including SERCA2a (predominant in cardiac and slow-twitch skeletal muscle) and SERCA2b (ubiquitously expressed in non-muscle tissues).
DPABH-15697 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-15697 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
