General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22169) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human AQP3. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with AQP3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes the water channel protein aquaporin 3. Aquaporins are a family of small integral membrane proteins related to the major intrinsic protein, also known as aquaporin 0. Aquaporin 3 is localized at the basal lateral membranes of collecting duct cells in the kidney. In addition to its water channel function, aquaporin 3 has been found to facilitate the transport of nonionic small solutes such as urea and glycerol, but to a smaller degree. It has been suggested that water channels can be functionally heterogeneous and possess water and solute permeation mechanisms. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
DPABH-22169 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:5,000), IHC (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-22169 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
