General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18035) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human APEH, targeting the amino acid region 458–732 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The APEH gene encodes acylaminoacyl-peptide hydrolase, a serine protease that catalyzes the hydrolysis of N-terminal acetylated amino acids from small acetylated peptides, thereby facilitating the degradation of oxidatively damaged proteins and contributing to cellular proteostasis. This enzyme, also known as acylpeptide hydrolase or oxidized protein hydrolase (EC 3.4.19.1), forms a homotetrameric structure of approximately 300 kDa, with each subunit comprising 732 amino acids, and works in concert with aminoacylases to convert acetylated residues into acetate and free amino acids. Located on the short arm of human chromosome 3 at position 3p21.31 (GRCh38 coordinates: 49,673,117–49,683,971), the gene spans 24 exons and is oriented on the plus strand, residing near the aminoacylase gene locus.
DPABH-18035 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-18035 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
