General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11562) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human AKR1B1, targeting the amino acid region 1–316 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the aldo/keto reductase superfamily, which consists of more than 40 known enzymes and proteins. This member catalyzes the reduction of a number of aldehydes, including the aldehyde form of glucose, and is thereby implicated in the development of diabetic complications by catalyzing the reduction of glucose to sorbitol. Multiple pseudogenes have been identified for this gene. The nomenclature system used by the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee to define human aldo-keto reductase family members is known to differ from that used by the Mouse Genome Informatics database. DPABH-11562 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-11562 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
