General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28253) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ADIPOR1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ADIPOR1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a protein which acts as a receptor for adiponectin, a hormone secreted by adipocytes which regulates fatty acid catabolism and glucose levels. Binding of adiponectin to the encoded protein results in activation of an AMP-activated kinase signaling pathway which affects levels of fatty acid oxidation and insulin sensitivity. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 14. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. DPABH-28253 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC 1 (50-1:200) applications. DPABH-28253 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
