Nitrofurazone is an antimicrobial organic compound which is resulted from condensation of semicarbazide with 5-nitrofuraldehyde. It is a broad spectrum antibacterial drug and effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, often used for superficial wounds, burns, ulcers, and skin infections.
