General Description
Vancomycin (VAN) is a glycopeptide antibiotic with strong activity against Gram‑positive cocci. It inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, alters cell membrane permeability, and interferes with bacterial RNA synthesis. Clinically, it is mainly used to treat severe infections caused by drug‑resistant staphylococci; however, it has significant ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, allergic reactions, and gastrointestinal side effects. In recent years, the misuse of vancomycin in livestock and poultry farming has led to increasing drug residues in animal‑derived foods, directly affecting food quality and safety. This product is suitable for rapid on‑site testing in enterprises, testing institutions, regulatory departments, and other settings.
