GSH Introduction

Reduced glutathione is a tripeptide (gamma-glutamyl-cysteinyl-glycine) and the most abundant intracellular thiol antioxidant. It directly scavenges reactive species, serves as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase and transferases, and maintains protein thiols in the reduced state.
