Animals were immunized with cells of the TK1 murine T cell lymphoma. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with human and mouse beta 7 integrin. It blocks lymphocyte binding to MAdCAM-1, and alpha 4, beta 7 integrin binding to VCAM-1 and fibronectin. The antibody can inhibit alpha 4, beta 7 dependent binding of lymphocytes to intestinal epithelia.

Incubate cells at 37°C with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere, renew medium every 2-3 days, start cells at 2x10^5 cells/mL and maintain cultures between 1x10^5-1x10^6 cells/ml
