General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1353W) is a humanized-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human sH2a. ASGR2 (Asialoglycoprotein Receptor 2) encodes the H2 subunit of the hepatic asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR), a C-type lectin predominantly expressed on hepatocytes. Together with ASGR1 (H1 subunit), ASGR2 forms a hetero-oligomeric membrane receptor complex that mediates the calcium-dependent recognition and endocytosis of desialylated glycoproteins bearing terminal galactose or N-acetylgalactosamine residues. The canonical ASGR2 protein is a type II transmembrane protein containing a short cytoplasmic tail, a single transmembrane domain, and an extracellular carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD). sH2a (soluble H2a) is a splice-derived isoform of ASGR2 that lacks the transmembrane region due to alternative splicing. As a result, it is secreted rather than membrane-anchored. Although it retains the lectin domain, sH2a does not form a classical membrane receptor complex and is thought to participate in modulating ligand binding or receptor regulation in a soluble form. Thus, sH2a represents a specific soluble splice variant of the ASGR2 gene rather than a separate gene product.
CABT-L1353W is suitable for use in lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA), CLIA, PETIA applications.
CABT-L1353W is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
