This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBAS082) is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human MMP13. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. MMP13 (matrix metalloproteinase-13), also known as collagenase-3, plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA) by degrading type II collagen in articular cartilage. MMP13 is the primary MMP involved in cartilage destruction and is an attractive target for OA treatment. Increased expression of MMP13 in chondrocytes tips the balance towards cartilage catabolism, leading to OA development and progression. MMP13 also mediates osteoclast fusion and activity, contributing to multiple myeloma-induced bone disease. Additionally, MMP13 promotes tumor angiogenesis both directly and indirectly. In summary, MMP13 is a key player in the pathogenesis of OA and other diseases, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions.
DMAB-CBAS082 is suitable for use in ELISA(Cap) application.
DMAB-CBAS082 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), carrier-free, with optional 0.09% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
